STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION COMBINED HIGHER SECONDARY (10+2) LEVEL EXAMINATION, 2026 The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026 for recruitment to Group C posts in various Ministries, Departments and Offices of the Government of India, Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies and Tribunals. Advertisement/Notice No.: F. No. HQ-C1102/5/2026-C-1 Total Vacancies: Approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies. The final post-wise and category-wise vacancy details will be published separately by SSC. Posts: 1. Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) 2. Data Entry Operator (DEO) 3. Data Entry Operator, Grade 'A' Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. For certain specific Data Entry Operator posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject. Candidates should check the official notification for the exact post-specific qualification requirements. Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01 August 2026. Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable to eligible SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per Government of India rules. Experience: No prior work experience is required. Pay Scale: LDC/JSA – Pay Level-2: ₹19,900–₹63,200. DEO – Pay Level-4: ₹25,500–₹81,100. DEO – Pay Level-5: ₹29,200–₹92,300, where applicable. Application Mode: Online. Application Start Date: 07 September 2026. Last Date to Apply: 07 October 2026 up to 11:00 PM. Last Date for Online Fee Payment: 08 October 2026 up to 11:00 PM. Application Correction Window: 14 October 2026 to 16 October 2026. Application Fee: ₹100 for candidates who are required to pay the fee. Women candidates, candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and eligible Ex-Servicemen categories are exempt from payment of the application fee. Selection Process: Tier-I Computer Based Examination followed by Tier-II Computer Based Examination. Candidates will also have to qualify in the applicable Skill Test/Typing Test, followed by Document Verification and other applicable requirements. Examination: The dates for Tier-I and Tier-II examinations will be notified separately by the Staff Selection Commission.
