HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH DETAILED EMPLOYMENT NOTICE FOR THE POSTS OF DRIVER Employment Notice No.: 04/DRV/HC/2026 Date: 28 August 2026 The High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh has invited online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to 25 posts of Driver on its establishment. Total Vacancies: 25 Driver Posts Vacancy Distribution: General Category – 21 Posts SC/ST/BC – 3 Posts Ex-Servicemen – 1 Post Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Board/University. The candidate must have studied Punjabi or Hindi up to Matriculation level. The candidate must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence. The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in driving a motor car. Candidates must also satisfy all other conditions prescribed in Employment Notice No. 04/DRV/HC/2026. Age Limit: 18 to 35 years as on 18 September 2026. Age Relaxation: Applicable age relaxation is provided to eligible categories as per the rules and conditions specified in the recruitment notice. For Ex-Servicemen, relaxation is applicable as prescribed in the notice. Application Mode: Online. Application Start Date: 28 August 2026 at 11:59 PM. Last Date to Apply: 18 September 2026 at 11:59 PM. Application Fee: General category and eligible candidates from outside Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh – ₹1,000. Eligible SC/ST/BC candidates of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh – ₹800. Ex-Servicemen – ₹800. Selection Process: Practical Test-cum-Interview. The High Court may adopt shortlisting/screening if required depending on the number of applications received. Examination: No separate written examination is specified in the current Driver employment notice. The date of the Practical Test-cum-Interview will be announced separately by the High Court. Job Location: High Court establishment at Chandigarh. Selected candidates may also be posted at Delhi or in any district of Punjab and Haryana as per the conditions of service.
